I was just playing around with my make-up and created this pretty pink look. Being a brunette with olive toned skin I find it hard to do the blonde-pretty-in-pink look as some pinks are too light for my skin tone and some pinks are to vibrant and loud to sit in the description of "pretty".

Here is what the results were:

Now I quite like this pretty pink look, especially for spring (as seen in Dior's 2013 Spring Collection). I think it is quite easy to do IF you have the right shades of pink for the cheeks, lips and eyes.

I wore Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab, buffed in with my RT Buffing Brush, I applied Bobbi Brown's Corrector in Light Bisque. I covered any blemishes and pigmentations with the Dermablend Concealer Stick with my RT Deluxe Crease Brush, I then powdered my skin with Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder. On my cheeks, applied with the Illamasqua Highlighter Brush the Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush in Live Pink, on the apples of my cheek, working softly and circularly up my cheekbones and then added the Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush in Pink Rose as a subtle highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones. To lightly bronze (on the temples) and contour (cheeks, jaw and nose) I used Rimmel Sun Shimmer in Medium Matte, using my RT Contour Brush. On my eyes I sweeped Stila's Bare across the lids, added Stila's Kitten in the corners and under the eyebrows for highlight then blended Bliss into the crease from my Stila In The Lights Palette. I the curled my lashes and added Max Factors Clump Defy on my top lashes only. I added a little bit of Rimmel's Scandal Eyes in nude in my waterline and just very softly in bronze on my top lash line and on the outer-corners of my bottom lash line. I then completed the whole look with Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Rose Sorbet!

I hope you enjoyed the look! Let me know what you think to it and see if you too are wanting to rock the classic pretty-in-pink look!
Max Factor has released their new Mascara: Clump Defy Volumising Mascara.

Max Factor mascaras are among my FAVOURITE mascaras, they are of a great quality and are very long lasting! Now when I saw that they had released a new one I HAD to get my hands on it!!

The Mascara claims to, "allow you to saturate your lashes with stroke upon stroke of mascara to achieve more volume while still maintaining beautifully separated and defined lashes without clumping.."

Un-curled lashes

The de-clumping wand is fantastic for an easy and effective application, as the picture show it is quite a natural lash look however I think you can build on this to have a more dramatic effect. This mascara would be great for those who love Max Factors False Lash Effect mascara but who find it a little bit thick or clumpy. A great new mascara for their range!

Maybelline has launched its new mascara: The Rocket Volum'Express.

The Mascara claims to give upto 8x more volume, "Our exclusive Jet Glide brush with Flexi-fine bristles loads on big bang volume so fast, there is no time for clumps! Our smooth formula keeps lashes looking sleek and even."

I am a fan of the Maybelline mascaras, for example I love the Volum'Express One by One lash and I must say this is a fantastic mascara. The wand is very similar to the original Max Factors False Lash Effect Mascara, however I would say that this mascara doesn't clump as much. I would say that this is a great new mascara from Maybelline!

I know you have probably all heard about these already however I have FINALLY got my hands on a few and wanted to share my thoughts! Now liquid lipsticks are the new "it" girls in the lippy-world so I wouldn't be surprised if other high-street brands follow Rimmel and come out with their own!

Now already I love the pun name Apocalips so they have begun to win me over, they come in 8 colours. I went with the three colours: Apocaliptic, Nova and Big Bang

Now the texture is quite thick and a little bit creamy, it is easy to apply (doe foot applicator), however with the brighter colours such as Big Bang, I would be careful when applying around the edges, like with any bright or intense colour.

Here they are worn...

303 APOCALIPTIC

102 NOVA

400 BIG BANG

Overall, these are a great little product, no fuss colour in seconds which aren't too drying or sticky! I would advise you to get them now before all the best colours are gone (Boots are currently having a 3 for 2 on all their products!!!)
Now, let me just tell you, I am a fan of the red lip. I believe that a red lip holds an invitation to all occasions and events and ladies, please start rocking those red lips more often! SO, when MAC brought out their lip palettes I just fell IN LOVE with this palette, unsure of which red to choose? Choose them all! Plus for £35 (a single mac lipstick retailing at £14) you can not really go wrong! Mac has also brought out 4 other Pro Lip Palettes; 6 Preferred Pinks, 6 Editorial Oranges, 6 Select Plums and 6 Modern Browns. However, looking at the palettes online, the colours do not seem quite universal, some shades being either too light for certain skin tones however I believe that this palette would look great on all skin tones!

MAC PRO LIP PALETTE - 6 EDITORIAL REDS

Details? The palette contains 6 different shades and finishes.
Lady Danger (Matte) - a coral-red
On Hold (Cremesheen) - mid-tone yellow raspberry
Russian Red (Matte) - intense blue-red
Mac Red (Satin) -  bright blue-red
Ruby Woo (Matte) - vivid (orangey, if possible?) blue-red
Dare You (Cremesheen) - deep brown red

I already have the classic Russian Red and the very wearable On Hold (which I find to be a little bit more pink than red). I can not WAIT to try Ruby Woo, which is perhaps the most daring red in the palette as, similar to Russian Red, it does hold an almost orange tone and is super matte! What is best though, is being able to customise your own red or creating editorial looks such as ombre lips! Here are some swatches...
