Better late than never as they say...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>

It was one of the first luxury cream bronzers so we didn't really have much choice but it truly is still a beautiful formula. The original formula is a soft, almost mousse consistency to the touch but has enough hold and firmness in the package that you never pick up too much. On the skin it would glide on and create a cream to powder finish but somehow leave behind a skin like satin finish. The only negative was that it came in one shade... "universal" and universal it was not. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxau5RLT0rABMonkxd3G4HBF3U8SaF1ilsSxgFrpJFOp2aEOgCGxtWZZxTKBDlLGybjGF5ojSnk2alH1fGj3SUJoS3AZM97YWHWZSSpdS4EKjA2Xu6o38EN3uZGQiPzZcDDQt9b8ZEhhg/s1600/IMG_5201-5.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxau5RLT0rABMonkxd3G4HBF3U8SaF1ilsSxgFrpJFOp2aEOgCGxtWZZxTKBDlLGybjGF5ojSnk2alH1fGj3SUJoS3AZM97YWHWZSSpdS4EKjA2Xu6o38EN3uZGQiPzZcDDQt9b8ZEhhg/s1600/IMG_5201-5.jpg" /></a></div>
<div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The original shade was a warm light-medium bronzer that wouldn't do much for anyone deeper than a tan skin tone. It was also extremely warm so wouldn't suit those with a cooler or very fair complexion. We have been dreaming for Chanel to deliver this flawless formula in multiple shades (and undertones) so that all could enjoy it... however they decided to do a complete reformulation when they released new shades.</div><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhge2w5MgAV0vtHLJdt4wttyWjc-VqLjSNp8u94sAOCUoOsxPM2lPGzozXsAzlOHWwtlKpdNQejyIaAsPP107ucsFStY7Xn7gdJ_1sOSdVm-nzLtRAo3StqfO6obeTGlY7ik2FnqlLUFmM/s1600/IMG_5202.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhge2w5MgAV0vtHLJdt4wttyWjc-VqLjSNp8u94sAOCUoOsxPM2lPGzozXsAzlOHWwtlKpdNQejyIaAsPP107ucsFStY7Xn7gdJ_1sOSdVm-nzLtRAo3StqfO6obeTGlY7ik2FnqlLUFmM/s1600/IMG_5202.jpg" /></a></div>
<div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The first new shade to be released was paler, more peach, so would suit those with a cooler complexion, I wasn't mad at this if it was an "addition" to the shade range as opposed to a replacement. Where my olive toned medium complexion could use the previous shade, I am only able to use the new one at my palest.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkVro2AnyLNJGLmzgst0PXHwDZTaWPRIQqZTi8FI5KrOQlA9PT8xEYemYeFiL5r6W7sa4-dowqU0nVL2fKJVZlj5CE8SIA1vos8vhAPs1RtxJj4VAwl6RI3iByxQlL1ZjPPZ57OhKIxmU/s1600/IMG_5206.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkVro2AnyLNJGLmzgst0PXHwDZTaWPRIQqZTi8FI5KrOQlA9PT8xEYemYeFiL5r6W7sa4-dowqU0nVL2fKJVZlj5CE8SIA1vos8vhAPs1RtxJj4VAwl6RI3iByxQlL1ZjPPZ57OhKIxmU/s1600/IMG_5206.jpg" /></a></div>
<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The disappointment lies, however, with the revamped formula. It is such an utter fail and during this age where we have cream bronzer formulas available from every brand, at every price point, there really isn't anything about this new formula that I would recommend.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The new formula is softer, creamier, however it feels much more silicone like. This, in theory, doesn't sound negative however I find that the product is so silicone heavy and slick that it does not want to adhere on to the skin or on top of makeup. It seems to deposit then either refuse to move from that position or blend in to a patchy mess. I have tried multiple bases, methods of application and have not found one sure fire and reliable method so can not recommend this new product.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPszQqUB_4ZaxzCX6qO27iaKU0cr2dUHGVFGIQi_-CyA_O6tnuZhQ3V2e0pWJpX-ULjVIMOGqNz-0G1yTdp19t1xvu2a9CR_aa7Tgksaseu-oDFcCz-9am9kVQ6OrmYCGQwkriNHKXkn8/s1600/IMG_5307.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPszQqUB_4ZaxzCX6qO27iaKU0cr2dUHGVFGIQi_-CyA_O6tnuZhQ3V2e0pWJpX-ULjVIMOGqNz-0G1yTdp19t1xvu2a9CR_aa7Tgksaseu-oDFcCz-9am9kVQ6OrmYCGQwkriNHKXkn8/s1600/IMG_5307.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The swatch application looks incredibly similar. The original (left) has a slightly more golden hue. However I think upon inspection you can see that the right swatch looks heavier on the skin as it sits on top of the skin as opposed to smoothing in to it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKV_Rit2NA3oSXq-_EGj9HG-pIwXugOEqrq76b_bvVcZZdIkBHhynwi67NZzi5WRIR7i5jqB1S2IoH89zZV8yFhgICUddTVOt1YCdK9I5lo76hXQrJtFPRfnfJHF5JeuQHLZkdn3hBRP0/s1600/IMG_5310.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKV_Rit2NA3oSXq-_EGj9HG-pIwXugOEqrq76b_bvVcZZdIkBHhynwi67NZzi5WRIR7i5jqB1S2IoH89zZV8yFhgICUddTVOt1YCdK9I5lo76hXQrJtFPRfnfJHF5JeuQHLZkdn3hBRP0/s1600/IMG_5310.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span id="goog_671804964"></span><span id="goog_671804965"></span><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Since these photos Chanel has released deeper shades. I bought the shade Deep, which, unsurprisingly isn't very deep. It has a more red undertone so is an improvement in terms of providing a variety of undertones in their shade range. However, as this shade is more pigmented I find the problems with the formula are even more apparent and this product looks incredibly patchy or just refuses to apply on to the skin. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If you have the original, cherish it but when you're done with it, don't repurchase the new formula. This is no longer the Chanel bronzer we once new and loved. Luckily, there are some incredible new formulas for us to play with.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Cream Bronzer Formulas Similar to the Chanel</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>

I however would like to bring back the colourful highlighter, however a more subdued, interesting version that enhances your skin undertones.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> I have a warm olive skin tone, which means I have a lot of green and yellow in my skin, so a complimentary colour for my skin is pink. As my skin is more medium-tan, a soft petal pink blush can look quite ashy however I have found a selection of beautiful pink highlighters that compliment my skin tone and blend into blush colours beautifully. If your skin is more cool toned you may want to opt for more blue or purple highlighters. Now, am I suggesting we have stripes of metallic colours hovering on our faces again? No. The formulas I have found have a subtlety to them, don't have any caste to them and will gleam only when the light hits it. If you find the right colour for you, you'll see how these highlighters add dimension, warm up the skin and enhance the colour in your face. It truly is a beautifully subtle way to add more <i>je ne sais quoi</i> to your complexion.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLPTwlj4L7WiyvpWzGbsd61c_TWfjDJiLt0tlgPOhGLC35K9NTF6sViUcz0oLJ4UUI0YsR6fOsvDyVm2FJQtvVYcEwZobCe-Fm3laIP0Ol4QYmw41ihwSSebSPjvvuir5KcTRQJBq_BBKzVXbVYUHVH4SdEFeLufUeGVx4NwfccaXNNyLWCPBEhRh/s6960/IMG_8538.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="6960" data-original-width="4640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLLPTwlj4L7WiyvpWzGbsd61c_TWfjDJiLt0tlgPOhGLC35K9NTF6sViUcz0oLJ4UUI0YsR6fOsvDyVm2FJQtvVYcEwZobCe-Fm3laIP0Ol4QYmw41ihwSSebSPjvvuir5KcTRQJBq_BBKzVXbVYUHVH4SdEFeLufUeGVx4NwfccaXNNyLWCPBEhRh/s16000/IMG_8538.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB9hTuREjeKU-rHhkDEnc2KlOF73xF849H1K_I_JIfXIRCg3yMWKFqTittSFMqkNnmx7O0wuxi6Xcbf6Qb38Q1OXUDmdGo5O-WG-Qh9i3_9Cwfs_4XD-LiRkomPSgcdWrxjALBf6EUM1udloOeHR2MMLpOxeiGnN31Q0FekJhvJBZxOfaE_KDLxLvo/s6960/IMG_8554.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="6960" data-original-width="4640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB9hTuREjeKU-rHhkDEnc2KlOF73xF849H1K_I_JIfXIRCg3yMWKFqTittSFMqkNnmx7O0wuxi6Xcbf6Qb38Q1OXUDmdGo5O-WG-Qh9i3_9Cwfs_4XD-LiRkomPSgcdWrxjALBf6EUM1udloOeHR2MMLpOxeiGnN31Q0FekJhvJBZxOfaE_KDLxLvo/s16000/IMG_8554.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div> <p></p>

With that. I have been enjoying either going completely makeup-less and just enjoying my day, feeling the sun on my skin (with SPF, of course!) but there have been other days where I have been relishing in playing with textures again. My go-to look this past month has been a sheer, natural base where imperfections show through but working on creating a glowy skin texture. With the skin so fresh, adding a lot of blush really livens up the face, making it brighter and healthier looking. I then finish off with a wash of colour on the lids, sometimes I match it to my blush for a monochromatic look, other times I go for a soft brown and most of the time I just tap on a sheer sparkling eyeshadow all over the lid so it can catch and reflect the light. It's super simple but this basic formula can produce many looks but always feels balanced and modern. The best part is, you can create and play with what you already own to create a similar look, using colours you love and feel confident in!</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7IdD-SsRhx3vSkevZcBzfK5M5XxkTAVbOziwXPfw3vwX-tvMVN_3Ej6MkWkuQb2pV26UErkXOfsmoCSHovIAqrwAZE8PPuEd_EVe8jmAgaM7wbu60z79zAhES-68rZO2ODZ92UxGLUcg/s2048/IMG_4798.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7IdD-SsRhx3vSkevZcBzfK5M5XxkTAVbOziwXPfw3vwX-tvMVN_3Ej6MkWkuQb2pV26UErkXOfsmoCSHovIAqrwAZE8PPuEd_EVe8jmAgaM7wbu60z79zAhES-68rZO2ODZ92UxGLUcg/s16000/IMG_4798.jpg" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Sarah Noellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16340164567465014159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5632608758964294683.post-57590595382919649082021-05-02T07:00:00.007+01:002021-05-02T19:42:40.952+01:00New Makeup I'm Excited About<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Is it just me or were all the new releases in past few months BORING?! Between financial strains due to Covid, production delays and the general declining mental health, it doesn't surprise me that beauty was placed on the back burner. However, April has dazzled us with sunlight, vaccines are being rolled out and dare I say it... hopefulness is in the air again. And I think that a combination of general contentment, alongside some clever brand release timing, has created a lot of excitement in me for some of the new Spring/Summer releases by many brands.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqNRNAUBH2JmAPusC9bKKN07IGyEB6zhlHJh8vXB43mjhYx_5hS7UgBhV8AiK1Lm-Rs6LceCAWHAyXJ2uUpuTo4qd46OvvBkPNo4AvPX422TXRVT8MTBPTh_jUnEsKBpZyIhLRaNwSLls/s0/1+New.pptx.jpg" style="display: inline; padding: 1em 0px;"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqNRNAUBH2JmAPusC9bKKN07IGyEB6zhlHJh8vXB43mjhYx_5hS7UgBhV8AiK1Lm-Rs6LceCAWHAyXJ2uUpuTo4qd46OvvBkPNo4AvPX422TXRVT8MTBPTh_jUnEsKBpZyIhLRaNwSLls/s0/1+New.pptx.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><u><b>Ingenuity</b></u></div><div>Hindash, a professional makeup artist with a large online presence (IG: Youtube:) has released his own makeup line, his first release being a professional "pigment" palette that can be used on the eyes and face. Now, I know what we are all thinking... another warm-toned neutrals palette... yawn. </div><div><br /></div><div>However, this palette has a unique aspect in that each pan is a colour gradient, from one shade, into another. This may seem gimmicky initially, however the nuance will come from use of the palette as instead of having a row of 6 browns and beiges to blend out your eyeshadow, you can move along the gradient for the perfect shade to deepen or diffuse a colour. It is a compact palette with a wide range of depths within each shade. Plus, it can be used on the face and eyes. I haven't tried this yet but I would love to see if this can deliver it's ease of use on a consumer scale as it does on an artistry scale.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://hindash.com/">Hindash Beautopsy Palette 59.00<span face="arial, sans-serif" style="background-color: white; color: #202124; font-size: 16px; text-align: left;">€</span></a></div><div><br /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><b>More Blush, Please</b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's fair to say that I am always excited for new cheek products, but cream and liquid cheek products are my ultimate weakness. <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt7XY">The Hourglass Vanish Blush £45</a> Stick looks like a cream blush with a more powdery matte finish, they are extremely expensive so I'm interested in how these perform and what other cream blushes they are similar to as they remind me of the old (discontinued) Chanel cream blush that were a favourite of mine. <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt85g">The Surratt Artistique Blush £42</a> look like a lightweight, dewy finish which really appeals to me. I find Surratt to be a really unique brand, always bringing quality or innovation to regular makeup products. The last blush that has caught my eye is <a href="https://www.feelunique.com/p/BareMinerals-Gen-Nude-Blonzer-38g">The Bare Minerals Blonzer £24</a> which claims to be a 'bronzer and blush' in one but I think it fits the "sun burn without the damage" blush look that I really do love in the summer time. I find that adding some warm colour with a tan can really brighten up the complexion in summer and I find this to be a surprisingly unique blush product and very on trend. Finally, Mother Pat has <i>finally </i>released a blush formula and I can not wait to get my hands on these!!! Everything I have tried from Pat McGrath, whilst expensive, has truly been exquisite. Her shades look nuanced and have a variety of depths and I'm looking forwards to seeing what type of formula she has chosen for her blushes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i><br /></i></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><b>Nourishing Lips</b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Gucci Beauty have released their <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt85P">Rouge de Beaute Brillant Glow & Care Lip Colour</a> £35 which seems to be a glossy sheer lip colour which is my ultimate favourite type of lip product, easy to swipe on and go but incredibly comfortable! So far, I haven't found a Gucci lip product I haven't loved so I do have high expectations of there. Plus, their colour ranges are really unique and I find they some make beautiful orange and red tones that compliment my olive skin tone. However, they are quite pricey so I am going to hold off on purchasing some and try to use up some other lip products in my collection first! A different Gucci item is from Gucci Westman and her <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt868">Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm £35</a>. This is another brand that has outstandingly beautiful formulas (other than their mascara, let's not talk about that) so I am very excited to try their liquid lip balm formulas and to see how the shades work on my medium skin tone.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><br /></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><b>Anything Roen</b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Roen have released a new cream eyeshadow palette to their collection, the <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt85x">Mood 4ever Palette</a> £41 which is the perfect warm, red toned palette. Roen eyeshadow palettes are the ultimate cool girl eyeshadow, they are a cream shadow with mixed textures, they do crease and wear in but create that ultimate effortless vibe that I kind of love for summer. Glowing, fresh skin, a tinted lip balm and some smudged on cream eyeshadow is such a punk chick meats beach babe look.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><br /></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u><b>Natural and Affordable</b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love me a skin tinted, a tinted moisturiser, a bb/cc cream, a light coverage foundation, all of it, I love it all. However, some of the best performing skin tints tend to be more expensive, I find many mid-high end brands do nourishing skin tints best, these are usually skincare infused with well considered shade ranges and a beautiful glowing finish. Now, most affordable skin tints I've tried are either too dry/greasy in texture, run way too pink/peach or don't provide a beautiful finish to the skin (which is really the main focus of a skin tint, it isn't to provide coverage but more a healthier/diffused finish to the skin). Nabla however has released their own version and I am eager to try this as I find their products are nuanced and sophisticated in a way that other brands at this price point rarely are. Hopefully, this too can exceed my expectations like many of their other products have...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bt7vW">Nabla Skin Realist Tinted Balm £26.00</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u>Shop The Post</u></div>

However, since their Subculture fiasco and their never ending palette releases of 2019 we haven't quite seen ABH reclaim their cult beauty brand status. Buy your perfect, favourite and most flattering blush, bronzer and highlight individually and get the most love out of them. Now, a customisable palette where you can choose your perfect shades? I'm here for that. But I am not here for this, thank you, next.</div><p></p>

I believe these didn't sell well and that Glossier's usp<i> (other than effortless natural beauty) </i>is that of every day staples. These everyday staples such as Boy Brow, Lash Slick, Cloud Paint and the Stretch Concealer doesn't really match up with playful makeup. COVID-19 has hit brands hard so I can see other brands following the lead of Glossier's pre-pandemic brand decisions by honing in on what makes their brand unique, and sticking to that to ensure maximum sales of their hero products. In this blogpost I'll be reviewing the Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush. I picked up 5 of their 10 shades in the colours Petal Poppin', Bikini Martini, Crush on Cupid, Strawberry Drip and Summertime Wine.</div>

<u><span style="font-size: x-small;">The Ingredients</span></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Petal Poppin' - dyes may vary for each shade.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">OCTYLDODECANOL, ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, DICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, MICA, SYNTHETIC WAX, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-2, POLYETHYLENE, SILICA SILYLATE, SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE, NYLON-12, CANDELILLA CERA/EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX/CIRE DE CANDELILLA, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRA-DI-T-BUTYL HYDROXYHYDROCINNAMATE, TIN OXIDE, BHT, RED 28 LAKE (CI 45410), IRON OXIDES (CI 77491, CI 77492), RED 6 (CI 15850), BLUE 1 LAKE (CI 42090), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>The Packaging</u><br />
The Fenty Beauty Cream Blush comes in the signature Fenty octagon component in a white plastic, similar to the bronzer it has the word "CREAM" written on top in a graphic font. However what does differ is the size of the compact. As you can see in the picture below, it is significantly smaller than the bronzer. When you get this £19 tiny blush it might shock you at first but I love the bitesize packaging as it is big enough to fit a blush brush in but cutesy enough that you can chuck it in a bag for on the go or have a little collection of shades in your drawer without it taking up bulk or excessive space.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnvS3o2XZ_cPr43NFnxaY_H1gxEemHb8eGVmD4MXUQKT_wr71HpRoYR5QtMCs0Nz1pYAvHY6MV7492vC3bZaWOH4Jgk4-Np1IXxdGUorwmc_7aydycueIiT0s1hkr7glPc1EIHn8BPgAw/s1600/IMG_5144.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnvS3o2XZ_cPr43NFnxaY_H1gxEemHb8eGVmD4MXUQKT_wr71HpRoYR5QtMCs0Nz1pYAvHY6MV7492vC3bZaWOH4Jgk4-Np1IXxdGUorwmc_7aydycueIiT0s1hkr7glPc1EIHn8BPgAw/s1600/IMG_5144.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>The Cost</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u></u><br />
I would class Fenty Beauty as a 'mid range' price point, similar to say Mac and Benefit. However this new launch is not the best value for money so the appeal really comes down to the formula and colour choices.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Let's break the cost down.</div>

This brings Fenty's Cream Bronzer into the upper price range (per gram) of some of the most popular cream blush on the market. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I argued with the cream bronzers that a reason for this price tag might be due to the shade range available, where most brands only offer 1-2 shades of cream bronzer. However, there is a lot of cream blush on the market covering an expanse of shades and whilst some are more unique to the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out line, others might be dupe-able in another brand. So I think when it comes to deciding if you want to pick one of these up is, does this formula appeal to you and/or is there a unique shade you can't find somewhere else for a more affordable price point.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Petal Poppin'</u><br />
This is perhaps the most 'basic' of shades in the line up - a peachy pink with a fine gold pearl running through it (no shimmer). Of all the shades I own, this is the sheerest however it still leaves a wash of colour on the skin. There are similar shades from other brands that have more pigmentation and almost give coverage to the skin, whereas this is quite translucent. It is not as sheer or emollient as the offering from Milk Makeup. It just leaves a warm, soft pink to the cheeks that lasts a surprisingly long time to say it is so sheer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><br /></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Bikini Martini</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is another shade that you'll be able to find in most other brands - a brighter, cool pink. I find this shade easily to build, a light application gives that sheer almost Megan Markle pink flush but built up it gives a more frosty kissed look (you know, that I've just been for a walk in the snow flush?). This also is the most matte feeling blush (I think due to the pale shade) however it still applies easily and the more matte texture can be quite softening and blurring, fitting flawlessly with the crisp winter colour. This is a shade that lasts beautifully on my oily skin.<br />
<u><br /></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Crush on Cupid</u></div><div style="text-align: center;">This shade is a warm toned pink, it is slightly more of an average shade however I do find this depth of pink harder to come by as they are either pale, bubbly bright, or very cool and deep. This is a more medium pink with a beautiful glow. I find this shade could fit all looks and seasons, it can be a sunkissed shade, a more vampy autumn shade, a winters pinch or even a perky spring shade so is quite versatile, even though it looks very unassuming in the pan. This is very well pigmented and can be easily built up so I would recommend this for most skin tones and depths. Due to the pigmentation, it lasts very well on the skin. This is perhaps the underdog shade of the line and I would definitely recommend you check it out before passing over it...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><br /></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Strawberry Drip</u></div><div style="text-align: center;">This shade is a beautiful medium, warm coral. It really is a beautiful popsicle strawberry shade, this is surprisingly unique in my collection as I find red blush shades (cream and matte formulas) often run terracotta/sunburn red or a cooler more 'bitten' red. This however is quite a girly coral red that is perfect for summer but won't run the risk of being too intense. It is brightening on the face so a great 'wake me up' blush and the strawberry pink elements in the blush leave you looking rosy and sweet! I do find this shade fades initially and is a touch sheer so it benefits from a last looks touch-up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><br /></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Summertime Wine</u></div><div style="text-align: center;">A surprisingly unique shade that I am secretly always on the hunt for - a vivid burgundy with a fine gold pearl. I adore this shade, this is my perfect Autumn/'work' shade. I find that <i>many</i> brands do a cool toned burgundy "fjords" looking cheek, but when a blush leans too purple, on my olive skin it just translates as bruised rather than flushed. This however is a perfect warm toned, deeper neutral, it retains that Autumn hue but keeps the warmth that my skin needs. I only have a few of these shades (all powder) in my collection and I cherish them all. They are my favourite for colder Autumn days, its dark enough to blend in to my darker wardrobe, stands out in the cloudy daylight but also livens my face up so I look healthy and warm. It's also my favourite September-December work blush, because it has a "mature" quality to it where it is neutral enough that it doesn't translate too much to the eye but it is also colourful (but not too colourful) enough to prep me up without feeling too made up/girly/flirty. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Let me mention that I later picked up Fuego Flush, Rose Latte and Daquiri Drip (sold out when I bought these shades) - all are gorgeous and similar formula other than Fuego Flush which contained visible fine gold glitter/shimmer particles. I wish it were a smoother shimmer as I don't love the look of flecks of the sparkle on the cheek but the shade is incredibly unique and perfect for more tan skin tones.</i></div>

<u>The Formula</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Collection is truly a light-weight, non greasy gel-cream formula with a sheer finish. From the bronzer and blush shades I own, I would say that the formula is consistent across the board, the only difference between shades is the pigmentation in the blushes. I find these to be some of the most long lasting cream blushes I have encountered as the formula isn't too slippy (which usually allows product to fade/absorb easily) yet it also isn't too matte and full of silicones (which can also fade easily). I have oily skin so I am used to blush being there and gone within an hour of application so the fact that I can wear a natural, easy to apply blush and actually have it visible still at the 6-7 hour mark, <i>I'm impressed.</i></div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Application</u></div><div style="text-align: center;">As this is a gel-cream formula I find these apply beautifully with fingers, they aren't too slippy that they will lift foundation however the more gel formula can feel a *little* stiffer so if applying on top of a high coverage, matte foundation I recommend patting with fingers or a stipple brush. However, this truly applies beautifully on top of all bases, with lighter bases it is an almost thoughtless process which makes these really intuitive to use unlike other cream/liquid products on the market which have more of a learning process. But if you do prefer a more matte coverage base, I would recommend playing with these and finding the right brush in your collection to stamp this blush in so that you can have a thoughtless application too.<u><br /></u></div>

<u>Final Thoughts</u><br />
I have to say, I really do enjoy this blush formula and think it is quite unique in it's gel texture but sheer finish. I love that this leaves a wash of colour on the cheeks that looks like a natural flush without leaving any glitter, gloss or a powdery finish. I think if you like an easy to apply, sheer flush from your cheek products, you will really like this. Do I think you <i>need</i> this and that it is absolutely <i>revolutionary</i>? No, you probably don't need this. But if you were interested before and like the elements mentioned in this blog post, you'll probably really enjoy your purchase. However, I will say that after months of playing with these, they are one of my favourite cream blush formula (and I own A LOT!) So yes, I guess I'll leave my conclusion there....<br />

I have so much that I don't need "the same but different", I don't need affordable dupes and I don't need to try whether this brand has the better X. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">What I do want though is inspiration, beauty.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_8wsFMD2UOJG6GWeeR29YJUSReVqqcQ0g9ve9Tgma_KKfNOBNtPJm-QA_M54qqodILWtrYFRp_hlKEe-43DXn39IEzMV5Nj0fkGS58kxxFFyPonEkVy-jxbYoOpmtW9YUq0CLIawBOwk/s1378/IMG_2853+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1378" data-original-width="1114" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_8wsFMD2UOJG6GWeeR29YJUSReVqqcQ0g9ve9Tgma_KKfNOBNtPJm-QA_M54qqodILWtrYFRp_hlKEe-43DXn39IEzMV5Nj0fkGS58kxxFFyPonEkVy-jxbYoOpmtW9YUq0CLIawBOwk/s16000/IMG_2853+%25282%2529.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">At this point in my make-up collection, I own almost every colour and formula I could ever possibly need to create a look. I own powders, creams, sheers, mattes, shimmers, glitters, glosses, satins, brights, deeps, neutrals, warm, cool, the entire rainbow. So I don't need anymore "things" to provide a function for me. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So what does that leave me with? Well, it leaves me with not needing to buy anything and not wanting things I already have the equivalent of. Unless it is something extraordinary, something I don't own, something that can provide a feeling, an experience or that can inspire me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhirviuIwslqjllvCCBOClTPF1ibszs6uJhBbE4amhbm-2NvBhq6Yo6x7yYyxeWXf_Y0TMyT1V4r52VIb16fr8upmnygr8fS6mp_Uj9K7vavS-yXBLsYntpyIDayhEQhw8-UuNXkUxz2H8/s1584/1+%25283%2529.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1584" data-original-width="1096" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhirviuIwslqjllvCCBOClTPF1ibszs6uJhBbE4amhbm-2NvBhq6Yo6x7yYyxeWXf_Y0TMyT1V4r52VIb16fr8upmnygr8fS6mp_Uj9K7vavS-yXBLsYntpyIDayhEQhw8-UuNXkUxz2H8/s16000/1+%25283%2529.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So what am I talking about here?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Really, I am talking about decadent products. Products that aren't simply, <i>just a lipstick,</i> or <i>just an eyeshadow</i>. But that provide something that is unique to that brand, whether it is formula (Pat Mcgrath MTHRSHIP eyeshadow palettes for example) or whether it is a beautifully packaged lipstick that feels ritualistic and adds beauty into the process. Where re-application is an artful moment for just yourself.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF5PCKOxJ2G4p2sTRJ9OE_P7AUB75M6U5YDHLybxnqpSQ5iQf0k7HvBqShFMILHUjwNY_hQytxA3Ugva5vkUYZ5C5FaJtEXlnr0idlQY22sGbTpxrrVPGNv-sUeYQDHXjBsnzRWFpXB2s/s2048/IMG_3137.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF5PCKOxJ2G4p2sTRJ9OE_P7AUB75M6U5YDHLybxnqpSQ5iQf0k7HvBqShFMILHUjwNY_hQytxA3Ugva5vkUYZ5C5FaJtEXlnr0idlQY22sGbTpxrrVPGNv-sUeYQDHXjBsnzRWFpXB2s/s16000/IMG_3137.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Now don't get me wrong. I can look at a product and still be inspired by it without owning it. You do not need to own four luxurious lipsticks. This isn't the new excess. Decadence is expensive.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I think that my point is, to be more thoughtful with what I am acquiring. If I simply need a product for utilitarian purposes, then I don't need to spend a lot of money on it. However, instead of owning four similar coloured lipsticks that you've bought over the months from Boots on 3 for 2 offers, why not acquire that one beautiful product instead? Why not own the thing you truly want instead of getting lost in the sea of excess.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_tyO_iDJsQuizU3TuYVjr8rRaTm_s6SL4wOc1uVeocJKY8vG3D2ThOvsMvtaP2BV4MBeD15lVySpMQbAwJ1TZry2nWGDgMNgufNhIOfWjVEfBzwhkuOM3tbp3hm2zBsLA3dEX13m2Xuk/s1754/3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1754" data-original-width="1240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_tyO_iDJsQuizU3TuYVjr8rRaTm_s6SL4wOc1uVeocJKY8vG3D2ThOvsMvtaP2BV4MBeD15lVySpMQbAwJ1TZry2nWGDgMNgufNhIOfWjVEfBzwhkuOM3tbp3hm2zBsLA3dEX13m2Xuk/s16000/3.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">As we all know, 2020 was a hard year, to put it kindly. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We do deserve to treat ourselves, and that means looking after your finances. It also means listening to what you truly want or need when you <i>are </i>purchasing an item. Do you want that something special that you have saved up for? Then get it. Because owning something of beauty is always better than owning a lot of nothing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So please, don't think I am TELLING you that these lipsticks are <i>worth it</i> or that you <i>should </i>own them. You don't need anything new. These lipsticks are simply just lipsticks but in a nice case. However, if like me you end up purchasing multiple cheaper items to own more, try adjusting your spending to own less but better quality, or less but it provides more than just function. It is an item that brings you joy. This can be applied to anything, home decor, clothes, gaming, whatever it is you spend your "left over" cash on. Let's buy more mindfully and allow more beauty to enter our lives.</div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My edit of decadent lipsticks where packaging reigns supreme</div><p></p> <div data-sc-widget-id="P-6006e685c09dd055503f55e8"></div><script async="" src="//widgets.shopstyle.com/shopstyle-widget-snippet.js"></script>Sarah Noellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16340164567465014159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5632608758964294683.post-6835321729599508462020-11-20T16:17:00.011+00:002020-11-20T17:22:30.615+00:00Best Black Friday Offers + Top Recommendations! <p style="text-align: center;"> Whether you're buying for Christmas presents, to soothe your soul after such a stressful year or if you only choose to spend your hard earned cash when you can get a discount, then here is a compiled list of some of the best discounts from various shops and my most recommended products from each retailer. The Nars Orgasm Palette (the lighter peachy-pink palette) and the Nars Orgasm X palette (the deeper warm berry palette). Both retail at £41 each for 4.8g, available at <a href="https://www.shopstyle.co.uk/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=842434810&pid=uid7841-43259721-46">ASOS</a>, <a href="https://www.shopstyle.co.uk/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=845595434&pid=uid7841-43259721-46">Look Fantastic</a>, <a href="https://www.shopstyle.co.uk/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=843965735&pid=uid7841-43259721-46">Harvey Nichols</a> and <a href="https://www.shopstyle.co.uk/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=845556032&pid=uid7841-43259721-46">House of Fraser</a>.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7X1q9Z20Yv0GbKgT0WJxwGb4X8IqlhthgBA8zzDICKOMfxHHlma1SXAfvHhGjPy57_qK8UgowyRpUWxUWccWn1GZ7gQ8Ru51Wro0pHXS2NJ2oyRTX1KOPCJMpscEvHrvvvNa10zN3Rb0/s2048/IMG_7595.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="533" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7X1q9Z20Yv0GbKgT0WJxwGb4X8IqlhthgBA8zzDICKOMfxHHlma1SXAfvHhGjPy57_qK8UgowyRpUWxUWccWn1GZ7gQ8Ru51Wro0pHXS2NJ2oyRTX1KOPCJMpscEvHrvvvNa10zN3Rb0/w800-h533/IMG_7595.jpg" width="800" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The Nars Orgasm palette is inspired by their best seller Orgasm blush (a peachy pink with gold reflect).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This quad is soft and peachy toned - it includes two shimmers, one metallic and one matte.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I'd recommend this palette to people who enjoys lighter eyeshadow looks and enjoy one/two eyeshadow looks. The matte in this palette is very soft so works as a "blending" shade but you won't get much dimension from it so your looks are limited. However, if you just want a really pretty every day palette that is easy to work with and you don't have to think too much about the blend/colour combinations, then this is absolutely perfect!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyknOWf-iaO7Ff2jWzIqVUhVnLQsQZdUZ5j3cS-b4e0k8W91B6BbClImxNVwOSb4QgMBOcijA3lES5NXhQc1ZvkBAxI9EooTU8i0J5R3Wj9YWLsazePjtdMBXACHQEqPAM-wRZS7Lu1bE/s2048/IMG_7597.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="534" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyknOWf-iaO7Ff2jWzIqVUhVnLQsQZdUZ5j3cS-b4e0k8W91B6BbClImxNVwOSb4QgMBOcijA3lES5NXhQc1ZvkBAxI9EooTU8i0J5R3Wj9YWLsazePjtdMBXACHQEqPAM-wRZS7Lu1bE/w800-h534/IMG_7597.jpg" width="800" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The Nars Orgasm X palette is inspired by their new Orgasm X blush (a deep coral with gold sheen).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This quad is deeper in shade and has a variety of tones: pink, red, mauve and purple - it includes two shimmers, one metallic and one matte.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I'd recommend this palette to people who enjoys deeper, plum eyeshadow looks and enjoy creating more depth and. The matte in this palette is a rosy mid tone so works as a transition/blender shade however if you want extra depth, it can build up and the shimmer purple looks beautiful blended out into the outer corner. Whilst this looks like a standard "warm toned eyeshadow" palette, it does lean more rose/plum with some beautiful textures so I really do find for a four pan palette, it is quite diverse as you could go quite light and simple, warmer, or deep and smokey. So if you want a do it all deep rose palette, this is a beautiful quality and you can't really go wrong.</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3W_frogg-nydrEmoQSRJ1KEOto9XTfdrSgRvWiwKbm0-Vy4KyiBUsh2aXEge8vmLQTFI6asY_jUjrAENp6FpJUt5NsX5ICDFmPFuulSDA-NFKLF8BLpDUG3eS0UYA2Jd6vtEvtKQyOxc/s2048/IMG_7598.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="534" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3W_frogg-nydrEmoQSRJ1KEOto9XTfdrSgRvWiwKbm0-Vy4KyiBUsh2aXEge8vmLQTFI6asY_jUjrAENp6FpJUt5NsX5ICDFmPFuulSDA-NFKLF8BLpDUG3eS0UYA2Jd6vtEvtKQyOxc/w800-h534/IMG_7598.jpg" width="800" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Nars Orgasm X (on the left) - Nars Orgasm (on the right)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghYbtIKNWG8A-T4427HDrU1yNqaIOqSKv9WjQcsjbyWyj4rrK9Wy3_GH08dMxpdboTKP6de9Rftyf-ETtC03JpnQWSOHKV6-Rfh82irO2etm_mWUU7r4ncjE4VBe8aHImCLoY5mgx77KY/s2048/IMG_7619.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="534" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghYbtIKNWG8A-T4427HDrU1yNqaIOqSKv9WjQcsjbyWyj4rrK9Wy3_GH08dMxpdboTKP6de9Rftyf-ETtC03JpnQWSOHKV6-Rfh82irO2etm_mWUU7r4ncjE4VBe8aHImCLoY5mgx77KY/w800-h534/IMG_7619.jpg" width="800" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Do you prefer smaller palettes like quads for ease of use or larger palettes for versatility?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Nars Favourites!</div><p></p>

There are a mix of cool, neutral and a few warm shades in this palette.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Natasha Denona has a smooth and highly pigmented formula. The mattes in this palette are very soft so blend effortlessly however they take a little building up for real depth and pigmentation. I find they are more pigmented when applied with a primer, especially on my medium olive skin tone. However, if you want real depth, I recommend using a smoked out eyeliner to add more definition and glam. The shimmer in particular are excellent and perform well dry, wet, applied with a brush or a finger. There are slight nuances in the shimmer formulas within this palette that gives it more texture - these I'll point out further down the blog post. But overall, all shades are very high performing in this palette.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiryNk7JJdyzAFSrAH9r90WElPEZlyZ8W4Suzp6wYxDUHK8CavrD2y74Uc2vKO30WTuIHceU5ziUlEM5cuzA_Eod63fBN9Az6eLHZbVG7xpkijcNhTI7lue6NycNw9DmeMy1muhwf3sn4A/s2048/IMG_7711.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="650" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiryNk7JJdyzAFSrAH9r90WElPEZlyZ8W4Suzp6wYxDUHK8CavrD2y74Uc2vKO30WTuIHceU5ziUlEM5cuzA_Eod63fBN9Az6eLHZbVG7xpkijcNhTI7lue6NycNw9DmeMy1muhwf3sn4A/w976-h650/IMG_7711.jpg" width="976" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Swatches from left-right, top row, centre row to bottom row. If you are looking for real depth and intensity or have a deeper skin tone then these mattes will be quite disappointing and you might prefer a <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bmhIN">Juvias Place Eyeshadow</a> or something like the Natasha Denona <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bmhKN">Metropolis Palette</a> or (warm toned) <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bmhIP">Bronze Palette</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU_oNP1yGzRT6X_Vq0LMBrPpvDg7TXa8dVInQlQ78mnUMEKEFinPXZcTs9AaaHd79v_ETQ5N_2lraqToVoPRrjDXrn_iAP9Q1Y_OzF8lVq5C0m4czoT5YEi5RCyZsfuDLYgNpY1Pcg_aY/s2048/IMG_7757.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="650" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU_oNP1yGzRT6X_Vq0LMBrPpvDg7TXa8dVInQlQ78mnUMEKEFinPXZcTs9AaaHd79v_ETQ5N_2lraqToVoPRrjDXrn_iAP9Q1Y_OzF8lVq5C0m4czoT5YEi5RCyZsfuDLYgNpY1Pcg_aY/w976-h650/IMG_7757.jpg" width="976" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The next 6 shimmers are a classic "shimmer" formula, they have good pigmentation but are less metallic and more on the satin-shimmer side (with the exception of the gold shade which is very metallic and denser like the initial three shimmers in the palette). Finally the "brow bone" shade is the thinnest in formula and is a semi-sheer shimmer that can look like a beautiful satin sheen when applied.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJqtp7kwwdEqYxewbjp3f9yBr5fZnQ8Gzrkp1WUJZGbO_CDlpfHSuQiVQZVR7nNLPn9EjaLlSB37yoRtQgo_Y88G9beJEaO6nUMcVZ-me5MwDwDSI1BdKIEE1_saSjAkDHbl84apaJRPk/s2048/IMG_7758.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" height="650" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJqtp7kwwdEqYxewbjp3f9yBr5fZnQ8Gzrkp1WUJZGbO_CDlpfHSuQiVQZVR7nNLPn9EjaLlSB37yoRtQgo_Y88G9beJEaO6nUMcVZ-me5MwDwDSI1BdKIEE1_saSjAkDHbl84apaJRPk/w976-h650/IMG_7758.jpg" width="976" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So, overall this is a really consistent and smooth palette - if you enjoy more neutral-cool tones and want a high quality palette, I would definitely recommend this palette.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">However, it isn't without it's faults. The naming convention of this palette isn't very user friendly as "smoke" isn't much of a descriptor and you can sometimes follow the instructions of "center eye lid", "crease" etc too literally where applying looks becomes less intuitive. I would still recommend breaking the palette into quads, rows and columns to help create looks with more variety. But the worst part about this naming is that the pale "transition" and "blend" shades make it incredibly obvious that this palette has been created for lighter skin tones. On Tan+ shades, the transition shade would be ashy, if it even shows up at all. There are many other Natasha Denona palettes that provide create variety and depth for deeper skin tones and whilst these shades are softer, I find that reinforcing the intention of these shadows to be quite alienating. It is a similar vein to a "universal" bronzer or a "nude" lipstick which is actually a pale pink-beige. For 2020, we need to expect more from brands, and this eyeshadow palette release has disappointed me, especially when the Bronze Palette was such a beautiful collection of warm shades for Medium-Tan skin tones. Hopefully Natasha Denona will do more to improve this issue in future releases.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bmBmk">The Natasha Denona Glam Palette retails for £60.</a></div><p></p>

This is a 6 pan eyeshadow palette that retails for £50. It contains 2 satin/mattes and 4 shimmer shades that all vary a rose hue.</p><p style="text-align: center;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXvpHKGFKO9xACSTglMTH6j-MQxQj1oNhWvGe6cg6qrTA8F-8pZNCYN1DnjBVtQ8XamgY-q0NqZquAabXaYO7fqEWZdnhQ2m1m0uV118YUyTSRcgPCkBQmEg5TG5CAcNJM0igdpCIuQ7Q/s2048/IMG_7577.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1324" data-original-width="2048" height="648" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXvpHKGFKO9xACSTglMTH6j-MQxQj1oNhWvGe6cg6qrTA8F-8pZNCYN1DnjBVtQ8XamgY-q0NqZquAabXaYO7fqEWZdnhQ2m1m0uV118YUyTSRcgPCkBQmEg5TG5CAcNJM0igdpCIuQ7Q/w1000-h648/IMG_7577.jpg" width="1000" /></a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">Let's start by talking about the context of this palette - this is the third palette in the "Rose" family from Pat Mcgrath. We have the Divine Rose Palette, The Divine Rose II Palette and now a smaller, more compact version the Rose Decadence Palette. There are no repeat shades among these three palettes so you could easily own all three without owning repeat shades. However they are all in the "rose" family. I find that the Divine Rose Palette is a cool, neutral story, the Divine Rose II is deeper and warmer with more pops of colour and this new version, the Rose Decadence is a more universal warm toned rose palette.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisiRPIZjdvJMCriI7ilFyZln8Km_cNf2r_BUZ8aSouifpZLgf46xP01a-53ldq-BnXuw-oUPXoalSHJV1fGSTHmqHWmXUH_NWOQmC_0sb4nCDDofsxJz0sAze2fB-m6yLm0_ohEpEkCYc/s2048/IMG_7578.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1302" data-original-width="2048" height="636" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisiRPIZjdvJMCriI7ilFyZln8Km_cNf2r_BUZ8aSouifpZLgf46xP01a-53ldq-BnXuw-oUPXoalSHJV1fGSTHmqHWmXUH_NWOQmC_0sb4nCDDofsxJz0sAze2fB-m6yLm0_ohEpEkCYc/w1000-h636/IMG_7578.jpg" width="1000" /></a></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The formula: as this is a 6 pan palette it does not contain any of Pat McGrath's "special" shades which are beautiful and intense sparkling shades that sometimes have a duochrome effect. What you do get is two mattes and four shimmers.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The Mattes</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These are very easy matte shades with a silky-blendable texture that also build upon themselves easily and blend seamlessly into one another. These wear really well on the eye and don't begin to look patchy or fade throughout the day.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The Shimmers</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">All the shimmer shades apply opaquely and smoothly on the eye, I'd recommend using either fingers or a flat, synthetic brush for best application. The shades Fuschia Flame and Scandalous do feel a little thicker and drier compared to other metallic shades from Pat McGrath however it's more of a textural problem and doesn't really change the efficacy of the shadows.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Overall, it is a pigmented, blend-able and long wearing formula that is very user friendly.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiHh_WPoM2_CqPrpSWiQgVbYmbYZw9UihP4al7Ku_OZG6eZKEO7Bo-rmORVNHJuLdDjzvC0LSO0tyE0dcr03t0P5jIStpRHAMQG2ds9UmR5NVdmeCPVJxoRfnUYPQdSoArKeBTMSCyrvs/s2048/IMG_7580.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1254" data-original-width="2048" height="613" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiHh_WPoM2_CqPrpSWiQgVbYmbYZw9UihP4al7Ku_OZG6eZKEO7Bo-rmORVNHJuLdDjzvC0LSO0tyE0dcr03t0P5jIStpRHAMQG2ds9UmR5NVdmeCPVJxoRfnUYPQdSoArKeBTMSCyrvs/w1000-h613/IMG_7580.jpg" width="1000" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><p>Shades, clockwise from top left:</p><p>Pink Champagne - a metallic light pink with a slightly warm undertone and a peachy-gold shift.</p><p>Peach Dusk - a matte, medium pink-toned coral with a satin sheen.</p><p>Fuchsia Flame - a shimmer with a bright warm-toned plum with cooler pink/blue/violet shift.</p><p>Golden Honey - a metallic medium-gold with a warm, yellow undertone.</p><p>Scandalous - a metallic deep-copper with an orange undertone.</p><p>Hedonistic Rose - a matte deep-plum with warm undertones.</p><p><br /></p></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwbjAtrzh2YxmBh9Jtm2Ed9F7nr0GgwHu0LEk5XxhCFVUY4xG65-f4wIokcan5-B6Rj3-va66T1EacNkhgXDapKGVjGBXNE_J4b18iQoAiTvtLAYVCFZVeNqYbsIXhqT7whGRfapXCqoM/s2647/IMG_7589.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1188" data-original-width="2647" height="449" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwbjAtrzh2YxmBh9Jtm2Ed9F7nr0GgwHu0LEk5XxhCFVUY4xG65-f4wIokcan5-B6Rj3-va66T1EacNkhgXDapKGVjGBXNE_J4b18iQoAiTvtLAYVCFZVeNqYbsIXhqT7whGRfapXCqoM/w1000-h449/IMG_7589.jpg" width="1000" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Final thoughts?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I think this is a great palette - it performs well and has a warm-rose colour palette that I enjoy. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">But do you need it? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Honestly. no. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If you haven't tried a Pat McGrath palette and this colour story speaks to you then it is well worth it. But if you have her other palettes already, this may feel too repetitive and redundant - particularly because this is a very popular colour scheme you can find in pretty much any brand and it doesn't contain any "special" shades which is what makes Pat McGrath palettes worth it, in my opinion. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I will continue to use and enjoy this palette but it doesn't provide anything new, special or different in my collection as this point.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><p></p>

I don't know why I thought purchasing the Nudestix Nude Beach Palette - Sun & Sea kit was a good economical decision but hey, here we are. And now that I have it, I may as well review it...</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This kit delivers soft, warm colours evoking beach corals and setting suns. I created two looks with this kit (full face of Nudestix in both images - only the mascara is from another brand). The first look is a soft, sunset look perfect for every day when you want to create a more romantic look. The second look is more dramatic, some may say more <i>evening. </i>It showcases the beautiful blue in the kit and how it can add such an impact but still look beachy and cool</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So the products...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I am a fan of the Nudestix cream blush and bronzers, I think they are creamy, blend beautifully and can be worn sheer or built up. I don't think they are the most long lasting product and I do think these products <b>need</b> to be set with a powder as they are very creamy so lift off if you are prone to touching your face (on my oily skin, anyway).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I really enjoyed the lip offerings in this kit, the colours are effortless and summery. The stick concept however, it is perfect in theory (quick and easy) but bad in practice. The formula of these lippies are super soft so they easily mush or snap off the pencil and you can't carry these around easily as you might need to sharpen it throughout the day? It is a flawed design. I would prefer something that is a roll up bullet form or a clicky-stick component but a pencil just doesn't work with such a glossy formula.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Now, the eye pencils... I hate them. They are so dry, they tug on the eyes so require warming up - they blend ok to say they are a drier cream formula - however they don't work better than a powder eyeshadow so.. what's the point?! Plus, they set down on the eyes and end up looking crusty. Like actual dry, flaky, crusty. It just isn't cute. The only advantage of this is that if you have super oily eyelids then maybe you'll like this formula? Yes, it will last a long time but it will flake off instead of fade throughout the day so... pick your poison I guess.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, would I recommend the Nudestix Sun and Sea Kit?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Honestly, no.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I don't like the eyeshadow pencils so you're basically spending £75 for a cream blush, a peachy-nude lipstick and a warm, deep mauve lipstick (both of which you probably own in some form). Also, a collection about the sea and they include a plastic makeup bag? I don't get it. As a brand, they do produce a lot of waste (what with their tins for every single product purchased), I know they have begun a recycling scheme in the US but I really expect more from a mid-range brand to work towards better sustainability.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> What I would recommend, is choosing a few products from the brand you genuinely want to try rather than getting this kit. I'll link below a few of my favourite products from the brand if you're interested as I think their complexion products are really good.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>

So, Fenty Beauty dropped their <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bgrI0">Cheeks Out Collection</a> containing cream blush and bronzers and I am LIVING for this collection! In this blogpost I'll be reviewing the Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzers. I picked up 2 of their 7 shades, a bronzer in the shade Teddy and a contour in the shade Toffee Tease.</div>

<u>The Packaging</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is housed in the same packaging as their powder bronzers and to distinguish between the two components, it has "Cream" written on top in a graphic font. Whilst the packaging isn't particularly small, for £28 you aren't actually getting that much product (5.23g). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiisdoY7P8TYGrZxwAAP4xiB7Nb7sgBvgvAnIwsHUC4kBw_ilecAPKUuDIA0i0rywxQKNhpRJoatmGxHut7Ttb7DB8LRJFIcfw6i3Z3a0FFNz4O7QT45rxNvNCQ6ou-QOOychA8qP4X3kk/s1600/IMG_5096.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiisdoY7P8TYGrZxwAAP4xiB7Nb7sgBvgvAnIwsHUC4kBw_ilecAPKUuDIA0i0rywxQKNhpRJoatmGxHut7Ttb7DB8LRJFIcfw6i3Z3a0FFNz4O7QT45rxNvNCQ6ou-QOOychA8qP4X3kk/s1600/IMG_5096.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>The Cost</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would class Fenty Beauty as a 'mid range' price point, similar to say Mac and Benefit. However this new launch is not the best value for money so the appeal really comes down to the formula and colour choices.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let's break the cost down:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Fenty Cream Bronzer comes in at £28 for 5.23g = <b>£53.53 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are some other cream bronzer's price breakdown as a comparison:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer £20.50 for 28g = <b>£7.32 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream £42 for 30g =<b> £14 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Huda Beauty Tantour £26 for 11g = <b>£21.81 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Fenty Matte Matchstix £21 for 7.10 g = <b>£29.57 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour £21 for 6g = <b>£35 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze for £28 for 7g = <b>£40 per 10g</b><br />
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate (Bronzer and Highlighter) £63 for 14g = <b>£44.29 per 10g</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Westman Atelier Contour £44 for 6g =<b> £73.33 per 10g</b><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This brings Fenty's Cream Bronzer into the upper price range of some of the most popular cream bronzers on the market. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
However, one of the key differences between Fenty's offering and those listed above, is that this is one of the few cream bronzers that actually has a shade <b>range </b>(Nudestix and Milk Makeup offering a 'deeper' shade in their cream bronzer range). Fenty Beauty offers a whopping <b>7 shades</b> ranging from a pale contour (Amber) to a deep contour/bronzer (Toffee Tease) and these shades not only<i> </i><b>vary in depth</b> but also <b>tone, </b>so this collection really caters to every skin tone. </div>

</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u>Teddy</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I picked up Teddy as I am always on the hunt for an olive toned, well, anything really. But especially bronzer and whilst I have found a few I love (such as the Fenty Powder Bronzer in Caramel Cutie), I haven't yet found an olive toned <i>cream </i>bronzer that isn't a foundation stick/concealer. And let me tell you, the shade does not disappoint. This isn't yellow, neutral, pink, red, orange or terracotta, this is <i style="font-weight: bold;">OLIVE. </i>And wow, do I love the tone of this bronzer. It is the perfect shade and mimics the exact tone of my my skin when I catch some sun. The magic really happens when I layer the powder bronzer in Caramel Cutie (which I would say is a shade match for Teddy), I have the most natural looking tan that blends seamlessly in with the rest of my body and that looks like a genuine suntan rather than a sun burn or typical "bronzer" colour.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u>Toffee Tease</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also picked up the shade Toffee Tease as a deep contour for when I am more tan as most traditional contours don't show up on my skin when I have a tan and go above an NC30 skin tone. Plus, I was curious as to how this deep shade would perform and how it would look sheered out on the skin. Now this is an interesting one, in the pan it looks quite cool, almost purple in tone but on the skin it truly is <i>neutral</i>. I've been able to wear this as a lighter medium skin tone (NC27 with an olive undertone) sheered out under the cheekbone and I do find it mimics a shadow and defines the contours of my face without looking too grey/ashy. However, I'm sure this contour will come into it's own when I'm more tan as it will most certainly show up when I am a medium-tan skin tone as a contour. It provides depth and definition but the sheer formula doesn't leave it looking muddy and it blends into the skin so it doesn't leave a line of contour but sculpts into your face structure. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u>The Formula</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, I think I need to start off by setting expectations. This is a <i>sheer</i> and more <i>emollient</i> product. So, if you're looking for more pigment and punch with a matte, skin-like finish then I'll point you to the <a href="https://shopstyle.it/l/bgrFp" target="_blank">Fenty Matchstix*</a> (available in Matte and Shimmer formulas).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now that is out of the way...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This product isn't a traditional 'cream' product, I'd liken it more to a gel/cream hybrid as it has more emollience and translucency than other cream bronzers on the market. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For example, the cream offerings from Chanel and Huda (even the Fenty Beauty Matchstix) have a a traditional creamy texture with a soft matte, powder finish. The Nudestix bronzer is more creamy rather than a cream-powder and and has a finer finish on the skin. Whereas the Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer or the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate are very emollient and dewy on the skin. I would say the most similar product is the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate - it has the same translucency and emollient finish but is slightly more dewy. The con here is the up front cost (although it is cheaper per gram) and that it comes with a translucent highlighter which people might not use. Furthermore, the shade range leans on the warmer side, rather than neutral, and doesn't have an extensive shade range.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you feel the product in the pan, it does melt to the warmth of your fingers and feels quite emollient and buttery. When you start to blend it on the skin, however, the texture feels more gel like and then begins to set into a more powdery finish. However don't be fooled, this won't leave your skin looking powdery or matte or even soft-matte like the Nudestix. You'll be left with a satin finish on the skin, not at all powdery or blurring but a true skin-like texture. I'd also say that with some "bronzer" shades like Teddy, which have an incredibly subtle shimmer running through them, you'll be left with a luminous skin-like finish (see below). Even though the more glowy shades in the line up leave a luminous finish on the skin, they don't leave any tacky or sticky feeling on the skin or any real dew/gloss (like the Tom Ford and Milk Makeup). So I'd agree that it is non-greasy, light as air, natural looking bronzer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbPdv5FvySRsJyMC1kPJ_mbJavAZ-dCAM6n82NxzHnsiok7LWaao_gG6E6a1BoNE40q2ajkBpgcVhusArAck7fyvoYF5F6DgdLGiqP58IcGJ9JUYLfs0LKfdlNjF1b5LBqOVr9vc_otCo/s1600/IMG_5155.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbPdv5FvySRsJyMC1kPJ_mbJavAZ-dCAM6n82NxzHnsiok7LWaao_gG6E6a1BoNE40q2ajkBpgcVhusArAck7fyvoYF5F6DgdLGiqP58IcGJ9JUYLfs0LKfdlNjF1b5LBqOVr9vc_otCo/s1600/IMG_5155.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see in the photo above, Teddy has a beautiful and fine shimmer that leaves your skin looking luminous but not dewy or greasy. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u>The Application</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As this is quite sheer I find it lends to this whole 'just like skin' texture. The translucency in this product really allows it to blend in to your skin. It is what I would describe as a wash of sunshine across your skin. Whilst you can build this up, I'd recommend accepting it as a beautiful veil of colour. If you do want to build it up however, the Fenty bronzers work wonderfully and seamlessly on top of this as a base, to add more depth and a sun kissed effect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have applied this in multiple ways, I've dipped my finger into the product, dotted it on my face and blended it out with a sponge/brush (I've found that duo fibre brushes, stippling brushes and synthetic foundation brushes work best with this formula). I have also applied this by dipping a brush directly in to the product and stippling it in to the skin. I've applied this onto skin that has just SPF on, on to light coverage bases and on to fuller, more matte bases and this works beautifully every time and really adapts to the finish of the foundation you've used. I find that when applying this on to more matte foundations that stippling the product in to the skin provides the most seamless results. Due to the sheerness of this product and adaptable gel like texture, it is pretty fool-proof when it comes to application. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<u>Final Thoughts</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love it. I love it because the shade is everything I have ever wanted in a cream bronzer and it provides a natural, effortless looking finish to the skin. I think that if there's a shade that you can't find in another brand or find a shade that finally caters to your skin tone, yes, I do think this bronzer is worth it. Or, if you want a light-weight cream bronzer that truly mimics skin texture and are a big fan of 'no makeup, makeup', I really do think you'll enjoy this product.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
However, if you're lucky and have a light-medium skin tone that suits neutral-warm bronzers and you prefer a more pigment or a soft-matte/dewy finish then you can probably find a more cost effective cream bronzer elsewhere.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Spring is here.<br />
The air is warm and the only rain is that from blossoming trees, kissing the ground with each fall.<br />
<br />
This time of year makes me reflective, introspective and so incredibly pensive. I want to spend my hours, thinking, reading, and writing, only to break for some fruit and a cup of coffee. The evenings I want spend in the fading sunlight, lingering on memories.<br />
<br />
So for Spring, a time for the fresh and the new, I need something that mirrors my need for warmth and comfort whilst also clearing my mind and making me feel light, not weighed down by my emotions.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSyRedOQAPGSC4ci24KwJpNxmBLkkqlace9SQQcc5eOdB-k9Qpt4BzLoA7eXz7K1h0f_7NUADHwyvE1TJi_oir5Pjhcn1YYL3ybP6Q20LDOCHPUH-vwWr30LoHUgxzTtdZuC-GLAE7OK4/s1600/IMG_4704.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSyRedOQAPGSC4ci24KwJpNxmBLkkqlace9SQQcc5eOdB-k9Qpt4BzLoA7eXz7K1h0f_7NUADHwyvE1TJi_oir5Pjhcn1YYL3ybP6Q20LDOCHPUH-vwWr30LoHUgxzTtdZuC-GLAE7OK4/s1600/IMG_4704.jpg" /></a></div>

Enter Diptyque's L'Ombre Dans L'eau.<br />
I think the name, The Shadow in the Water, is evocative of my relationship with spring.<br />
Shadows serving as memories, dancing in the sun-dappled waters, waiting until it is hot enough to dive right in.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
I spoke about Breaking the Beauty Rules in my<a href="http://www.coquettenoelle.com/2019/08/break-rules-glitter-crease.html" target="_blank"> first post </a>where I focus on playing with <i>application </i>and throwing out the <i>'how to's'</i> of makeup. But now I want to talk about products and throwing out their manuals.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6vg0q-4_Db40-jOEi2RCV7ABh1LOo5RxWLeB_2evEuxmxv8AanL3V3i7rmQ7WKLRAfymud-JFEEkquBjAbEkqa1bT7-XIyCRbDRXlkGgqFMAqFH_5ikkO-T74c-zedr3ftDNmXywi6MI/s1600/IMG_3140.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6vg0q-4_Db40-jOEi2RCV7ABh1LOo5RxWLeB_2evEuxmxv8AanL3V3i7rmQ7WKLRAfymud-JFEEkquBjAbEkqa1bT7-XIyCRbDRXlkGgqFMAqFH_5ikkO-T74c-zedr3ftDNmXywi6MI/s1600/IMG_3140.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
How many times do we buy a makeup product and use it only for their intended purpose? Our lipstick goes on our lips, our blush on our cheeks. Sometimes we mix it up when the brand has given us permission to. Take "lip2cheek" products and "multipurpose" sticks which allow us to play and experiment with where we like to place product. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<br />
<span style="text-align: center;">But I encourage you to change the way you use your makeup. We may all throw a bit of bronzer in the crease but are we using that eyeshadow as highlight, or that iridescent highlight as eyeshadow? Do we pat that perfect lipstick on our cheeks, or, create a perfect powdered pout by patting your blush on top of a lipstick. </span><br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Pat McGrath Fetish Eyes Mascara has joined the search party for the ever elusive "best mascara". I've used the whole tube up before writing this review, as I wanted experience the lifespan of this mascara, to see it from infancy to adulthood, to really understand who she is, and what she has to offer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Let's start off with the facts: she's a little bit pricey at £26 so expectations are already high. For £26, I really am looking for a near perfect mascara to justify the price. It is a nylon bristled brush rather than a plastic combed brush. The brush itself is classic in shape, and has the same circumference (no taper) throughout the entire wand. I'd describe her as short and squat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But before I move on, it might be helpful to know about my lashes and my preferences, as mascara is such a personal makeup item. If my lashes sound similar to yours and our preferences are the same, then this review will apply to you, or if we are direct opposites then it may also be helpful to you (eg, mascaras that don't work for me are usually perfect for my mum).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have quite short, straight lashes that get weighed down by heavy or wet mascaras. I always curl my eyelashes before mascara application and look for a formula that supports a curl. I like length and volume but as I don't have a lot of length, I can't frame an extremely thick or clumpy lash. I also need it to not smudge, smear or crumble throughout the day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Some of my favourites: Chanel Le Volume, Diorshow Overcurl Mascara, L'Oreal Lash Paradise, Glossier Lash Slick, Benefit They're Real Mascara</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Some which didn't work for me: Lancome Monsieur Big (too thick), Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes (weighs my lashes down), Too Faced Better Than Sex (flakes)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn2RqDB1jlN4cQALhTZYnDh4-o900WhTV5Lh57VV_AJCjnx3rBwNxhtt0MkW3TU-hDdh3T_tRkEymxwgfkdEH-pZ_Tg3XjXsM11wbUVA1z9OBaxLwnjO39VcFA2Z5roJbHhVipJqLcPgU/s1600/C.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn2RqDB1jlN4cQALhTZYnDh4-o900WhTV5Lh57VV_AJCjnx3rBwNxhtt0MkW3TU-hDdh3T_tRkEymxwgfkdEH-pZ_Tg3XjXsM11wbUVA1z9OBaxLwnjO39VcFA2Z5roJbHhVipJqLcPgU/s1600/C.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Pat McGrath Fetish Eyes mascara is on first opening, a wise and mature woman. You don't have that overly wet 'fresh' mascara problem. She opens already at her prime, at that sweet spot that we all love in a mascara when it has just dried out enough to give us full, luscious lashes. Because she is ever so slightly drier in texture, the mascara isn't too wet or heavy so doesn't weigh your lashes down. My lashes hold a curl and can really be flexed and moulded into the shape I want to create. The thicker texture adds volume and the bristle brush is able to wiggle through your lashes to give the right amount of "clump" whilst also separating lashes and allowing for some flutter. The wand is able to deposit the formula on to the base of the lashes, leaving them thick and black but doesn't clump the lengths of the lashes together. The mascara lasts well all day, it doesn't smudge, even with an unset and luminous concealer. It does sometimes, however, flake. But the effect of this mascara is worth a few specks at the end of a long day. I adore this mascara, I find that it gives me really flirty lashes, full, fluttery, girly. You can really pull the brush through your lashes to stretch your lashes and sculpt them into a more feline shape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But, because of it's instantly ripe texture, she has a short lifespan. Within three weeks she is dry and you are scraping to get the last juice from this mascara, which really calls in to question the price. For me, this mascara is too expensive to repurchase on a (minimum) monthly basis. She is so close to perfection, but just misses the mark. If this at least £10 cheaper, I would be whole-heartedly recommending it but it is a £26 mascara that doesn't last through a month of daily use. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, do I like this mascara? Absolutely.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Would I repurchase her? Yes, but as a treat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Would I recommend it? Only if you have the budget but otherwise, stick with your current favourite. The lashes really aren't all that better over here.<br />

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
September in England is coming to an end, the clouds are opening up but there are still a few magical sunsets and mild evenings mingling among the cooler weather. Tans fading and turtlenecks out is leaving me feeling a little less confident. This summer was the time of Hot Girl Summer, where Instagram girls wore the confidence proudly. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This summer I paused my criticisms over my weight and my insecurities and allowed myself to just enjoy swimming, sunshine and bikinis. I told myself I was beautiful, no matter the shape and wore my neon eyeshadows proudly. But with the colder weather and the need for jumpers and jeans, I can feel the insecurities creep back again and they are back with a vengeance. So whilst the sun sets slowly, I wanted to revisit and hold on to the last of Hot Girl Summer, and hopefully, bring a little of that confidence forwards into Fall... </div>

I remember when I truly started to "learn" about makeup in the glory days of YouTube tutorials, I learned many tips and tricks and began to educate myself about product and textures. Instagram accompanied this with perfectly applied makeup, clean lines and specific rules. I followed some of these rules, adapted others and began to find my style with makeup - I learned so much from my beauty education.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
However, now is the age of the Instagram Makeup Artist where we are seeing edgy and artistic looks from professionals such as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/katiejanehughes/?hl=de" target="_blank">Katie Jane Hughes</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/kirinrider/?hl=de" target="_blank">Kirsten Sage Coleman</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/avoevodina/?hl=de" target="_blank">Anastasia Voevodina</a> - <i>to name a few. </i>Their looks are inspiring because they a<i>ren't </i>following the rules, they put rhinestones through the eyebrow, glitter in the crease and mix multiple textures. They are bringing the artistry back to make-up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWfkuAf5eFkd33YP-ZBgMoT8LebSwCGFC4ILnUpoRqHqaLwutv6loWXKnPGdheke6Q5Ev7GprJtc9GurPooeR7vCEgTthbb9RYsQeq4KsnayFXK7xxugWvQTMx3E-WsnSJqcfNfZjrzv8/s1600/IMG_2920-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWfkuAf5eFkd33YP-ZBgMoT8LebSwCGFC4ILnUpoRqHqaLwutv6loWXKnPGdheke6Q5Ev7GprJtc9GurPooeR7vCEgTthbb9RYsQeq4KsnayFXK7xxugWvQTMx3E-WsnSJqcfNfZjrzv8/s1600/IMG_2920-2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So when you're doing your makeup, mix textures you normally wouldn't to see what happens and to learn about what works, what doesn't and why. Apply product somewhere you normally wouldn't, see how it looks and if it creates a look that feels innovative and new. Personally, I've been loving applying glitter in the crease and on the lower lash line, I find it widens my eyes and the sparkles catches you off guard, adding allure to the eyes. When you have time to play, then throw the rule book out and see what happens...</div>
