The Estée Lauder by Violette Oh Naturelle Collection has finally dropped and it is a beauty. In this blogpost, we will be looking at the Oh Naturelle Face and Eye palette, and the Oh Naturelle Eyeshadow Palette. This is part 2/2 of the collection review, to read part one about the liquid lipsticks, click here.

The palettes in this collection are just divine. They are wrapped in a beautiful silk packaging which evoke a delicate, slightly nude, lingerie feel. It is the most beautiful packaging I have seen on a palette. However, with that comes the difficulty to keep it clean as it will stain and become grubby in your makeup bag. But if you treat her right, she will be a beautiful ornament on your makeup table.

The palette is made up of 9 creamy mattes, and 5 shimmer shades. It is a peachy, warm toned palette with a range of lighter and medium shades and the addition of a few deepening shades.

The palette is very peach toned - the mattes are a smooth and creamy texture. The lighter shades blend easily and smoothly into each other and can create beautiful gradients. The only 'tricky' shade in the palette is the last grey-green shade (it appears black but has a definite cool green undertone). It does blend with a little effort but a light hand is necessary and if built up slowly, you shouldn't have many problems with application.

The shimmer shades are a standard smooth shimmer which can be applied dry or with a wet brush to create a more metallic, foiled effect. This isn't a groundbreaking formula or shade range but it is a really great palette that performs well. So, if you don't have anything similar or if you really like the shades, I would recommend it.

The Face and Eye Palette on first glance is a stunning, beautiful, magnifique highlight and blush palette. It includes 4 highlighter shades (a pale champagne, a rose pink, a cool champagne and a red toned copper), 2 shimmery blushes (a pink shot with gold shimmer, and a terracotta peach shot with gold shimmer) and 2 matte blushes (a peach and a rose brown).

The highlighter shades have a multitude of shimmers and glitters. These highlighters are not a metallic, high gloss, reflective finish. They are a little shimmery and have a softer finish to them. They can be built up and create a striking effect but this can enhance the larger shimmer and glitter particles. However, these are beautiful and can be used as an eyeshadow if you love the shades but not for the face.

As you can see in the swatches, the effect is softer and lighter. The shades cater from light to deep skin tones however if you are very light or deep skin toned, you probably will only find 2-4 shades that suit your skin tone. On my light-medium skin tone, this works wonderfully and will carry me through winter all the way through to my high summer tan.

As you can see in the swatches below, the complexity of the shimmers show through and even though this effect is beautiful, it can sometimes look a little glitter-bomb on the face which isn't my preference. But to look at, I drool.

So, what do you think about the palettes in this collection?
Will you be picking any of them up?
