This little gem has been a staple of mine for when I need that flawless base, yet it hasn't made a single peek upon my blog! Well here it is...

The Illamasqua Concealer (£13) is a waxed based concealer. Waxed based concealers are incredibly long-lasting and are the best at lasting through humid climates, oily skins and even water. I love the shade of this concealer (it has rubbed off) as it is very yellow so blends perfectly into my skin and covers any pigmentation from acne scars perfectly as I find that peachy-pinky concealers just don't blend that well into my skin. This concealer, with a little powder to set, lasts for hours on my skin without needing a single touch up. I mainly reserve this for when I want my skin to look flawless because let's face it, no product is perfect. So here come the cons. It is quite hard to work with, literally. You either have to warm it up with your fingers or you must use a brush with this and takes a little more time to work with. It definitely isn't a slap on and go product. Personally, I wouldn't use this under my eyes as concealer creases like crazy so I am very careful as to what I apply under my eyes and prefer something lighter than this as it is quite heavy. I would recommend anyone with oily skin who find concealer to wear off on them quickly or look cakey to try this out and to be honest, wax-based cosmetics are pretty much good for most skin types. I do not think that this is an expensive product for the quality of it and it is one of my favourite concealers for any imperfections.

Have you tried the Illamasqua Concealer?
